Terrence Romeo has left the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga.
The 28-year old Romeo is now on his way home, leaving the bubble shortly after being checked by renowned orthopedic surgeon George Canlas on Saturday morning.
Canlas confirmed that the flashy SMB guard suffered a dislocated shoulder which would take around 6 to 8 weeks to heal naturally.
Team physical therapist Edward Bacason disclosed that Romeo was picked up SMB officials and is now headed back to Manila.
“I waited for him to return from the hospital last night because I wanted to talk to him. Unfortunately, he’ll he out for the rest of the tournament because the diagnosis is that he’ll miss six to eight weeks to rehabilitate and strengthen his shoulder,” said head coach Leo Austria.
“Right now our focus is to help him get back to we’re trying to arrange how he can get home because he needs the support of his family. He’s very frustrated right now. Last night, we talked until 2 am. He was asking me ‘Coach, why me and why now?’ because he really prepared for this conference,” he added.
